Oregon Coast

This past Saturday, Jake and I drove over to Newport on the Oregon Coast. It was the ONLY day in the forecast showing no sign of rain, so we figured we needed to take advantage of the good weather and head west. Holy moly, it was a gorgeous day! High 60s, sunshine and clear skies. If you've spent anytime in the Pacific Northwest, you know how rare those days are. We started out at the historic bayfront, spent some time at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center and then wrapped up our day at Nye Beach where we saw  3-4 pods of grey whales swimming just off the coast. Beautiful!

As promised, the rain promptly resumed Sunday morning. But we're getting used to it!

Much love to you and yours from small town, Oregon!
